A fun promotional video for the university's Speaking Center. I took the lead on this project, imagining a silly and snappy training montage.
I pulled in performing arts student Elsbeth Cheyne to be on camera with staff from the Speaking Center. An actor on set helps first-time performers be more open and comfortable. We avoided dialogue and focused on big reactions, making for an easier shoot and funnier video.
This was a massive project, in terms of gigabytes as well as the amount of collaboration and effort. I helped lead interviews and edited terabytes of footage to craft the Ice Jam Kids' story. My task was to showcase the Fresh Eyes On Ice project and their years of workshops training rural students in using drones to monitor climate change in their communities.
A virtual field trip that I helped produce for the Department of Biology and Wildlife. I edited, shot supplemental b-roll, and created the graphics.
The field trip follows the layers of fauna that transform nutrient-poor river shores: pioneering plants, willow, alder, white spruce, and black spruce. Growing up on the Copper River, it was incredible to learn about my home's ecosystem.
